This month will see the launch of a ‘Tenner Trail’ in Crickhowell with £10 offers and deals from a range of local businesses up for grabs from May 23 to June 6.
The initiative has grown out of the town’s Totally Locally campaign which aims to promote the benefits of shopping locally to residents and visitors. The project has been funded by the EU’s Interreg IVB NWE programme together with the Welsh Government’s Targeted Match Funding programme
Last October 42 businesses got together to offer five pound deals and the ‘Fiver Fest’ proved a huge success with businesses reporting increased takings during the two-week promotional period.
This time round there are Tenner Trail deals on everything from cream teas to haircuts, books to felted fairies, smoked salmon, wine, acupuncture sessions, walkers’ packed lunches and even video and social media consultancy deals from local businesses.
You can view the deals on the Crickhowell TV YouTube channel: http://youtu.be/FmwD3QfLms4
Emma Corfield-Waters, who runs Book-ish in Crickhowell, said: “We are excited to have so many businesses on board and so many tempting offers for customers.
“Totally Locally started because businesses in Crickhowell felt that it was a powerful message – spend money locally to reap the rewards of a thriving community – that everyone could get behind.
“We were really pleased at the success of the Fiver Fest fortnight of £5 deals last year and we’re hoping for bigger and better things from the Tenner Trail. You’ll be amazed at the variety of great deals on offer so come on down to Crickhowell and grab yourself a bargain.”
