We are delighted to invite you to join our youth schemes. Our youth warden scheme and youth committee are both aimed at young people aged 15-18.
Youth Wardens
The Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Youth Wardens Scheme is a new, exciting and adventurous outdoor programme for young people aged 15-18 years. The scheme begins in September and will run across the academic year to July. Youth Warden days will take place once a month on weekends and during school holidays at different locations across the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
As a Youth Warden you could find yourself:
- Surveying for wildlife
- Planting trees
- Path and access maintenance
- Participating in fun events
- Taking part in Youth Warden exchanges and camps
By joining our Youth Warden Scheme, you will:
- Make new friends
- Develop and learn new skills
- Discover lots of amazing wildlife
- Learn about the National Park Warden Service and what being a Warden involves
- Build your confidence
- Have fun in the outdoors
