Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority Joint Housing Land Availability Study 2019

All Local Planning Authorities in Wales have to ensure that sufficient land is available, or will become available, for a five year supply of housing land. National Planning Policy (Technical Advice Note 1) requires each authority to prepare a Joint Housing Land Availability Study (JHLAS) every year.

The studies are part of the evidence base for Local Development Plans and they provide a statement of housing land availability for development management and where an insufficient supply is identified, outline what the authority is doing to address this shortfall.

The studies also provide information on housing completion, availability on previously developed land and sites subject to flood risk.
