Still
leading the eco-way, Bannau Brycheiniog National Parks Authority’s Green Dragon
project is launching its first Environmental Suppliers’ Fair at the Saint
Michael’s Centre, Abergavenny on Thursday 17th January 2008.
The Fair has been developed
in response to feedback from local tourism businesses who are trying to
identify, support and use green suppliers.
The Suppliers’ Fair aims to link businesses face to face with the
suppliers and their products to create greener networks in the Park. A range of environmental suppliers will be
attending and many local businesses have
been prioritised.
The free event will be held
in the Main Hall with doors opening from 11am until 2pm.
The range of products that
will be displayed on the day include:
*Water
saving and energy saving devices
*Paints and wood preserving products
*Insulation and external building materials
*Organic mattresses and cot bedding
*Renewal Energy suppliers
*Recycling bins and containers
*Wooden furniture, signs, gates, bridges and boardwalks
*Energy saving light bulbs
*Compost, soil conditioners and mulches
Green Dragon is the Welsh
environmental accreditation scheme awarded to businesses who are improving
their environmental impact. The simple scheme aims to help businesses reap
rewards by saving you money, gaining new custom and reducing their carbon
footprint.
Bannau Brycheiniog National Park
Authority has developed the Green Dragon project with funding from the
Sustainable Development Fund to support tourism businesses make positive
environmental changes in the Park. If
