Crickhowell Town Council, in partnership with Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority commenced its process for developing a Place Plan back in June this year and is now calling on its residents, local business and community groups to tell us their experiences of the town. This consultation will allow residents to contribute ideas that will enable the development of meaningful solutions to the challenges a small market town like Crickhowell will face going into the mid-twenty-first century.
Chairman of Crickhowell Town Council, Town Councillor Paul Evans launching the series of consultation events, said,
“It is the Town Council’s ambition that the Place Plan both reflects the short-term aspirations of Crickhowell and looks 15 years into our possible futures, delivering a detailed and comprehensive guide that will enable us together to maximise the future prosperity and well-being of our town. Once we have received everyone’s comments, we will move onto the next stage and start to assemble what the focus and priorities should be and develop ideas. We will organise a further consultation event in January 2024 where we will share these suggested proposals which you can rate and add to. I welcome all residents, businesses and local groups to get involved.“
Over the coming weeks, there are several ways for local residents, businesses and organisations to have their say:
- Drop into the Clarence Hall between 10am and 5pm on Friday 29th or Saturday 30th September where you can talk more about the challenges and opportunities for the town with the Place Plan team.
- View the Place Plan display from the 2nd to the 14th October in Crickhowell Information Resource Centre.
- Visit our website www.crickhowellplaceplan.org to find out further information.

This stage of the consultation will close on Sunday, 15th October.
