Fishing in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park might just have been one of Wales’ best kept secrets – but all this is set to change as Welsh National Parks seek to establish themselves as the new fishing hotspots of Britain.
During the past 18 months Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority together with Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire National Park Authorities, has been exploring the best way to promote fishing in their respective areas.
The three Welsh National Parks Fishing Campaign plan to produce a glossy 22-page A5 booklet for each National Park promoting fishing facilities in the forthcoming Autumn and Winter ‘Fishing Wales’ campaign.
The objective is to help visitors find a favourite fishing spot and to encourage fishing in one of Wales’ spectacular National Parks.
The new fishing ‘bible’ for Bannau Brycheiniog National Park will have an initial run of 10,000, and within the pages will be listing for fisheries, angling clubs, tackle shops – indeed everything and anything related to fishing in the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park.
