Hosted by Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority and partner agencies, this event promises half term fun for all the family in the National Park, with a wide range of activities on offer as part of the annual Fforest Fawr Geopark Festival.

The jam-packed ‘Come and try it’ event gets underway at 10am in the Country Park with Swansea Bay Orienteering Club visiting to showcase the new orienteering course, and staff from Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority will encourage visitors to explore the Country Park geocaching trail. Representatives from MEND will be offering fun children’s physical exercise activities and team building games, while thrill-seekers will love the zip wire ride provided by Absolute Adventure. Natural Resources Wales and Brecknock Wildlife Trust are holding woodland activities and wildlife games linked to the birds and animals that call Craig-y-nos home.

The Changing Seasons café, at Craig-y-nos Country Park, will be offering a delicious range of food and refreshments for everyone who has worked up an appetite enjoying new activities.

Mrs Carys Howell, Bannau Brycheiniog National Park Authority Member Champion for Visitor Centres, said: “This free ‘Come and try it’ activity day during the half term break gives people of all ages the chance to experience outdoor activities with qualified instructors in the beautiful surroundings of Craig-y-nos Country Park.
